| | i have a pc here that i just formated with windows 7 all games and programs installed. i installed smartlaunch and now the computer loads checks for updates downloads them then just sits at waiting for interface and dosent move this happens in safemode and out of safemode i can not disable the client |

| Close the smartlaunch with task manager and start the explorer or event beter internet explorer. Go to adobes web site and install flash.

| | thank you i forgot that i still had task manager disabled i got SL down gonna reupdate the adobe flash and see if that fixes it |

| | SL is stuck in an update loop just keeps saying downloading update then applying then downloading update then applying |

| Hmm. Try removing files from Client folder in Smartlaunch Server installation folder. Also make sure you dont have any update.exe (like asus updater etc) located at system32 folder.

| You probably haven't configured the UAC in Windows 7.
Before starting the client you should always check that the computer and user have unlimited security acces to the client.exe and that client.exe (and the whole Smartlaunch folder) has full acces so it can change files inside the folder. It normally hasn't got those things, and that should be you're problem.

| | I had this same issue. For me I think it was due to an incomplete install, and when I tried to uninstall, and reinstall it never went through the entire process, i just ended up doing a system restore to an earlier date, then reinstalled smart launch. it finally worked. HTH Tom
