| Hey guys, how do you all manage the game Heroes of Newerth and their updates?
Since its only in closed Beta at the moment there are a fair few updates that happen quite often and I was wondering if there's a better way to manage this game rather than going around to each pc and updating them ( i have about 80 computers, so you can imagine the headache )
Ive thought about a central server and just having the game run from there, but it wouldnt work - atleast not like warcraft 3 or world of warcraft |

| | Is the game -installed- on the server where the mapping points to? Or is it just copied to there? |

| | When an update is released, I immediately upload the updated game directory to my network drive and remotely launch a batch file that simply copies it back to all of the pc's. Given that the entire HoN directory is only a few hundred megs, it pushes to our 36 computers pretty quickly - minute or so if memory serves. Edit - I should also add that I use puf's to manage HoN settings and addons for each individual user so I'm not a fan of running this one off of a network drive.

| | You can run this off a network drive and still easily use PUF's for each customer. The patches for this game are so small I do not see a problem. It downloads and patches in about 1 minute. |
