| Description of query...
Here is the scenario i would like to put in place:
1. Existing customer (member) comes into store and approaches my vending machine.
2. He puts money in said machine and gets a prepaid time code.
3. Customer then turns on computer, and at the log in screen inputs the time code into his account.
Is this scenario currently possible?

| Yes, you can make time cards, that act as user accounts.
You can either load the ticket with money, or you can set an offer with time that the ticket will use. You create the tickets through the admin system, and you can print them out, however I believe you will need to set them as sold before they will be active.
That will give you a few different possibilities depending on what you are wanting to offer, and how you run your center.

| No, the customer can not enter the time code by himself. This can only be done via the administrator.
(I could be wrong!)

| Correct, you are wrong.
The tickets print out with a username & password on them, including the value that it is for and a barcode (in case you have a scanner available). The guest can then proceed to the system and enter the username & password (or scan the barcode) to login as normal.
The thing to keep in mind though, is that if you offer a large deal (eg $100 for a week) and the guest loses the ticket printout, anyone else can come in and use it. You should make it clear to customers to input their correct details in the system when they first login, so that it can be used to verify who actually owns the ticket, and if they lose it, you will be able to open up the ticket (same as a member) and reset the password for them.
I also just checked, you do need to have the tickets set to sold for them to be active.
Have fun |
