I had the same issue. We had imaged all computers from same disk, and all computers had the exact same live PCID number. Got you answer here:

http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=217988

remove the PCID key from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Software\Micros oft\XLive in the Windows registry.

Hope this helps you, it worked for us.

I had the same problem with gta 4 , but i wouldn't recamend removing the reg instead just add an new license management that looks like this :

games for widows live uses the pc-id for more than one game removing it may cause problems in the future

the key are just 8 bit hex values i think

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Works like a charm.

So we're good until we image the PC's again? Or should we just make a start-up batch file when the game launches that deletes that registry key? I guess that way we wouldn't have to remember to delete it after we image every time.

Okay I need some help with the save files for this game. I have it all set up and running on our computers without steam using preset up emails and am able to play lan and single player just fine. I can't seem to get the PUF to work however. I think it has to do with windows live and how it saves as well as the normal documents and settings etc. So far I have only tried with the save location in Documents and Settings\profile\My Documents\My Games\Dawn of War 2. I have heard that windows live saves to Documents and Settings\profile\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\XLive\Content so can anyone confirm this and if so what method did you use to make the PUF work. Thanks ahead of time.

Thats because you have Steam Version of Fear2 and Steam Cloud enabled.

Steam Cloud has its own "PUF" encrypted and stored on Steam servers.

If you dissable steam cloud then you will be able to catch the saveddata locally inside "user documents"folder.

How do we disable Steam Cloud, and will this affect other games like CS or TF2?
