| | Yes. We are having the same issue. This program seems great but I can't seem to make it work. I have emailed the author of the program to see if there was a step left out or something. |

| You need to make a 2nd directory like this
Say the mods name is GREATMOD
you would specify the directory to copy in the ini file as GREATMOD
then in the file system you would place it like this:
\GREATMOD\GREATMOD\[modfileshere]
if not it copies the contents of GREATMOD without recreating the directory called GREATMOD... so by placing the mod inside of another directory it copies the right directory/contents... I know it seems a bit goofy but it worked for us while we used it. Now we use a different system that works much better and allows users to access their profile from any station.

| | To quote the great rapper Lil John.... WHAAAAATTTT?!!!????? Ok so let me get this straight. If our setup looks something like this then is this how you would set it up? WoWSetup]
RemoteAddonLocation=Y:\Games\World of Warcraft\Addons
LocalGameLocation=C:\Games\World of Warcraft . [Addon0] The first addon item (yes, it has to be 0 for the first). This number has to be increased by 1 for each new item. Addon=ABInfo (HERE is where you are saying it should say /ABINFO/ABINFO Y:/GAMES/WORLD OF WARCRAFT/ADDONS/ABINFO)?????? The Addon name, and also the Directory Location of the mod. AddonText=This mod add some informations to the action buttons;^^» It displays the cooldown in a numerical form^» There's a big flash when the cooldown is finished^» A flash when some abilities become usable (Overpower, Revenge & Riposte)^» It shows the number of times you can use an ability before you ran out of mana/rage^» It shows the number of energy ticks before you can use an action^» The buttons are colored in red when their action is out of range.
I'm still confused. I really thank you for your time in helping me answer this question. |

| no... you need to place the file into two directorys in the file system
keep the config with just the name of the mods directory
but in the file system the mods files need to be in say
c:\games\world of warcraft addons\Coolmod\Coolmod\
what wam does apparently is looks for Coolmod and copies everything from inside so what happens is it copies the files without the parent directory. So to offset this issue, you put the directory inside another directory so when it copies c:\games\world of warcraft addons\Coolmod\*.* it will copy the Coolmod directory inside as well as it's internal files.
example some mods have multiple directorys: so they would be like this
c:\games\world of warcraft addons\SuperCoolMod\DKP_SuperCoolModule1
c:\games\world of warcraft addons\SuperCoolMod\DKP_SuperCoolModule2
c:\games\world of warcraft addons\SuperCoolMod\DKP_SuperCoolModule3
and so on and so on... because again....
the wam program copies c:\games\world of warcraft addons\SuperCoolMod\*.* so you want to make sure that it copies the directory as well because the mod will not function correctly if at all without it's appropriate parent directories intact.

| I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!
We've been using the program at my Cyber Cafe for months now. All my guests love it too...
Zaigon, I have one request though. Could you make a similar program as WAM! but make it W3MA! (Warcraft 3 Map Adder!)
My guests come up with crazy map names that they want added all the time, I was thinking I could just make different map packs for them and they could add them to the machine as they saw fit.
Thanks Zaigon |

| | ARRGH!!! I still can't make this work. Could someone post a working editied .ini file for me to look at? I still keep getting confused as to what exactly my ini file needs to say. Here is what I got so far. [WAMInfo] Title=World of Warcraft Addon Manager (WAM!) StartupText=Welcome to the World of Warcraft Addon Manager. Using this program, you can choose which Addons you would like to enhance your World of Warcraft gameplay.^^You can choose an Addon from the left to view a description of it and start installation of it. [WAMSetup] ScreenshotCleanerEnabled=1 GlobalAddonRemoverEnabled=1 CompleteResetEnabled=1 LastUpdateEnabled=1 LineReturn=^ [WoWSetup] RemoteAddonLocation=\\192.168.16.2\PATCHES\World of Warcraft\Addons LocalGameLocation=C:\Games\World of Warcraft [Addon8] Addon=KLHThreatMeter AddonText=KLHThreatMeter monitors and records your threat, and will list your threat in a table with other members of your party or raid group who are using the mod.^^Most class talents, abilities, and items that cause or modify threat are taken into account.^^There is a table for your personal threat contribution, broken into specific categories such as white damage, healing, mana gain, etc, and specific abilities such as Sunder Armor and Taunt. AddonDirs=KLHThreatMeter c:\games\World of Warcraft\KLHThreatMeter\KLHThreatMeter AddonUpdate=11/10/06
What am I doing wrong? |

| has anyone tried WoWMatrix? it looks similar to that WUU on the earlier post.
WAM works nice for us now, just a pain in the butt to update new add-ons constantly
