.Net Framework

Hi I am trying to install Gizmo clients but it keeps saying my .net framework isn't up to date which it is! I have tried using your .net installer whioch broke one of my computers nicely. Any suggestions?

Here is why Gizmo is a great add-on to your Smartlaunch Café Management System.

Easy Integration

Gizmo Client module emulates Smartlaunch and allows it to work as normal Smartlaunch Client. You will be able to control and manage Gizmo Client just as you would with Smartlaunch with all critical functions like user login, remote desktop, client screenshots etc. supported. You don’t even need to uninstall Smartlaunch you will only need to disable it. If you are not satisfied with Gizmo you can always re enable Smartlaunch and continue as you were.

Personal Storage

Gizmo allows you to provide your user with a secure and easy-to-access personal storage. Unlike Smartlaunch, Gizmo is not based on NFS but rather implemented as Virtual File System. This gives you the flexibility to provide storage to the user as normal hard drive. It also removes any need for shares and user accounts on your Server machine, eliminating the security risks involved with using the same user account from different machines. Personal Storage works by redirecting common user’s folders such as “My Documents” and Users’ Desktop, to a network location, thus allowing the user’s profile to roam on any machine in your café

Personal User Files

Gizmo allows migrating current personal user files with ease by keeping the file structure of users’ folders compatible with Smartlaunch. With Gizmo, personal user files and all operations are more stable and faster, users have easy access to them with shortcuts and can fully backup their profile to external hard drives or flash disks*.

Windows Desktop

The look and feel of Gizmo’s shell matches that of Window’s Desktop, making it easier for users to find their way around using the terminal. Do not worry though; you will not lose the ease of presenting your applications and games your clients have grown accustomed to. Gizmo provides a centralized hub from where all of you applications and games can be viewed, searched and launched. And of course there are other features that you gain benefit. Most used applications, Top and Latest games, news, all make it easier for you to promote products and inform users of new additions. A rating system also allows you and your users to actively promote the most popular games in your café.
Lastly, let’s not forget the high level of customization that can be achieved with Gizmo Skin, allowing you to create a unique identity for your business.

System Tray & System Services

In Gizmo system tray works exactly as Windows on all Windows operating systems with respect to security configuration allowing you to hide system tray icons based on executable name or even a GUID making it possible to hide icons of system services like Networking or Action center. Gizmo also implements required functionality to allow Windows Vista or 7 Aero Window Preview ALT-TAB to function correctly.

Application Deployment

Wouldn’t you want to have all your games and application in one place? Install new software on a client and then easily copy it to the rest of them? Keep older games on a file server and never again delete them just to make room for newer? Well Gizmo allows just that. Host your games and applications on your file server and Gizmo will deploy them to your Client computers dynamically when needed. Update your copy on the server and let Gizmo synchronies any differences automatically. Of course you can always manually deploy them, even using Multicast data distribution. And to top that, Gizmo will clean the hard drive when it runs out of space by deleting less used applications.

License Management

Gizmo License management system is plugin-based, making the procedure of supporting new applications easier and faster. Gizmo already supports all the fundamental License Management schemes like Process, Registry or Maximum application Instances and of course Steam!

Usage Statistics

Improved application monitoring techniques allows Gizmo to gather more accurate application usage statistics. This eliminates common statistic discrepancies associated with Smartlaunch and incorrectly calculates usage statistics, leading to users being presented with the applications that they don’t really use as the top used.

Client Management

Gizmo allows you to take control of your clients with Remote Process Monitoring, File Management, Screen Monitoring and more.
Starting and killing processes on your Clients with a single click and creating automated tasks based on Client events can greatly improve your Game Center operation and simplify execution of common tasks. Gizmo also allows the use of a wide range of scripting languages like Batch, Visual Basic and Autoit, all stored inside the Gizmo database. No more sharing folders full of batch scripts. Gizmo automatically creates and executes them on client when needed.
