Divert users folder

Hi! Im using SL 3.6 and the usersfolder is takeing much more space than the disk has avalible. When the cafè started up we tought that it would be more than enough space for usersfolder on HDD1.

That's history and we're haveing a lot of trouble managing this to make enough free space.

Is there a easy way to divert the users folder? Adding a new disk and diverting it to HDD3?

Found nothing in registry, neither the configfile for the server.

Tryed a symlink application a while ago but that didn't go so well.

Hi all,Iam still using sl3.6 call me old fashion but just not ready to upgrade yet,cause iam happy with 3.6 untill today...ok down to my problem..Today i was messing about on smartlaunch log in menu with my mouse pointer just moving it all aroung the screen,untill i see the Screen Box were it says "Sending Personal user files" that quickly got my attention,so i started to mess around with the mouse pointer again to see what cause this....So carefully i moved my mouse pointer all over Smartlaunch main menu(LOGIN PASSWORD SCREEN) and i discovered theres a point right up the center of the screen if you move it slowly you would get smartlaunch to logout without hiting any logout buttons....So please anyone who's still using v3.6 please try it to see if this happens to you cause this is freaking me out.....Also it happens when you are sign in.....

SL Server makes whole server overload for no reason

The last three months I've had problems with the SL Server running 100% CPU load. This makes clients crash or not able to either log in or out. I've scaned with chkdsk and also ran another taskmanager, but it didn't make me wiser. This happends from time to time and also happened two times after rebooting the whole machine and a fresh start it started out with 100% CPU load.

Second thing is that some of the clients disconnect from server and let the user use the client for free. At the administrator screen the client is reportet as beeing shut off.

It isn't the networkconnection because the users are able to surf the net etc. We also haven't made any changes to either hardware or software the last two months. I've scanned the pcs that this problem ofen occours with several AV NOD32, NAV, SAV. And the several spyware/adware applications with no result.

The last thing I tryed to do was removing IE7, but this didn't solve the problem either.

Server is: Dual Xeon 2ghz, 2gb ram, 10.000rpm SCSI disks.

Thw whole network is 1gbit with managable cisco switches that also make it possible to test the network for errors, but everything looks fine.

How does this game work? Is it possible to install and use trough SL? Or is it the same as BF2142? Gave up that one, because of the licencing system.

help with editing a skin

i pretty much have this setup how i want it, except for the problem of the background images that change based on what genre of game you choose, i cant get the MMORPG catagory to display the rpg picture i know their not the same name so i changed the catogories name to rpg and nothing restarted the clients nothing, i changed it back to mmorpg and made a new catagorie named rpg, and low and behold its changing as it should, why is this? how do i fix it or make the background changed when it switches to the mmorpg genre, thanks.

Smartlaunch server takes time to startup

My smartlaunch server delays in starting up once you launch the icon on desktop.What happens is that,when it gets to where it initialises the customer accouts,it sits there forever(about 5 minutes) before it moves to a defferent phase.This is where most of the delay takes place(Initialising customer accounts).I am assuming that the database has become big.Is there a way we can make it run faster?Do we have to take off some of the inactive custmer accounts?If yes,how can we do that.

Is it a different issue,what advice will you give me.at initialising customer account,the count in percentage to 100% is very slow.

CCleaner wont delete files on startup because of smartlaunch

I have a file cleanup software(CCleanup) which i want to use to delete used files from desktop and my document anytime windows starts.But the file deletion doesnt work on startup because smartlaunch startsup first and prevents the program from doing it's work.

I tried to create a batch file in the startup.bat file but anytime the machine starts up the batch file only brings the ccleaner software application up(start's the whole program) but not the actual task of cleanning, which i want.The CCleaner software works fine if i stop smartlaunch from starting when windows starts.But i want smartlaunch to start first.

Is there a way to go around this problem for my software to do it's intended task.

What Receipt Printer do I need?

Hello,
I am a new SL v3.6 customer. I jsut wanted to know exactly what receipt printer do I need to work with SL v3.6?
...and what cash drawer for that matter?

I already have a cash drawer and receipt printer from my old cybercfepro program. Anyone know how to get this to work instead? ... or any reason why it wouldn't work? Seems like the same cash drawer as well as the same printer type. Cash drawer plugs into printer. Printer uses serial connection. I think this is the same printer (type) as the one SL is selling. I don't mind buying a new setup for my SL if it is required, except that it is $430 bucks. So it would be awesome to get my old printer working. Well, it's not really that old :)

Any advice is appreciated.

Smartlaunch loglevel

Hi,

Wondered if there is any possibility to change the loglevel in the SL Admin.. So that only critical errors are logged and not usual. Get many stupid errormessages and the log gets filled up fast.

Images of Games Titles (for the Menu) for 3.6

I just upgraded my images.swf file.. so, I wanted to assing new pictures to games..

So, I click "Chage" button (AS Usual).. but now ALL Smartlaunch Server freeze for about a minute and then this window pops:-

After I click "OK" button this msg appears:-

Of course my connection working just fine, and my firewall is disabled also.. and I can Authorize SmartLaunch.

So, what is the problem and how to fix it?

ONE more thing.. Most of the new pictures don't appear in client machines, I think ALL Picture IDs starting from 1000 and above.. also how to fix this??

Help understanding the SL database

I'm working with a friend to add a feature to our website for users to login into and find out what time is left on their account. I've been looking through the SL database and trying to figure out how the time listed in the SL administrator is calculated.

I'd been looking in several tables:

tbl-brugerinfo (for the user's unique ID)

tbl-offerstat (for the log of all the offers people have purchased)

tbl-usage

Can one of the SL devs provide me with a little insight as to how exactly this works? Mainly I'm interested in figuring from what tables, what data is used in calculating what time a person has left, time being straight time purchased as well as anything on it from offers.

Server not authenticating

I wrote to support and to Adam, but I got no answer. I paid smartlaunch leasing through paypal for the first time after worldpay last week. I delayed the payment because I had problems with paypal and because I was moving at the time. The payment through paypal to smartlaunch is already credited to smartlaunch as it is in my bank statement, BUT THE SERVER IS NOT AUTHENTICATING MY ACCOUNT and ONLINE THERE IS NO RECEIPT FOR THIS PAYMENT. I am having a problem with SL v3.6

I have been offering credit by giving bulk times and clicking on pay later. All works fine at this point...

Then when they come in to pay of their debt, I add the $$ amount the owe, and it clears off the debt but also adds it as minutes they can play. Basically doubling the value they should be getting.
- It should be just clearing the debt, and not adding time.

It used to work, and once in awhile it did this. Now I see it doing it alot.

Any advice is appreciated.

I have "Bulk Rate Offers" I offer at myplace of business.
Example: 5 Hours for $15

Lately I have noticed they are not automatically being deleted, even though they show as 100% used. Anyone else having this issue, or no of a fix?

Logout bottum

Hi!

I have a problem with the logout buttom... normaly if a client is finish he just press on the logout buttum and he get asked "are you shure u want to log out".. or somethink like that;)but now the client computer dont asked anymore that question.. it just disapear.

One more think,from the daily total right up in the corner the smartlaunch logo is missing.. normaly it have to be on the webserver from smartlaunch.net but its deletet.:w00t:

Need SL Database optimizer for 3.6

I need the 3.6 database optimizer ASAP. the link to it is broken on the download page and it downloads the 4.0 version. I can't upgrade to 4.0 because I apparently have to much old junk in the database so it hangs after about 2 million records processed.

Executing a Batch File

I am trying to execute simple batch files to mount daemon, then load the proper exe. I have saed the bat file on the local client station, then changed the server setting to target this bat file.

It mounts the iamge fine, but does not load the proper exe. frozen throne.exe in this case.

I can launch my bat file from the desktop and it works great. But from Sl client, it only mounts the image, and does not start the game.

Any advice?

Killing Maplestory

I have a small problem with Maplestory - unlike other games it just cannot be killed, not even forcefully. The reason is that the nProtect GameGuard package is used to preventing hacking and cheating, and this package hides the Maplestory process from Windows.

For a brief moment after loading the program the Maplestory process exists, but after less than a second it disappears. I recorded the PID of the program using a batch file and tasklist, but then trying to kill the program with that PID just results in a not found error message.

Has anyone found a way to kill the Maplestory process, short of restarting the computer after Smartlaunch logout?

We have the latest version of Trillian, and our users are not able to expand the application from the system tray once it's launched. We didnt knowingly do anything to restrict the launching of the application. Can you tell me if this is a known issue? Any suggestions on a fix or workaround?

PCs reset and stop counting

I have SL 3.6.8 - when people are using the pcs, sometimes some pcs reset or/and stop counting -pcs all black- (but clients are still using the pcs), i have no virus and no spywares, just dont understand why this happened, can anyone help me? Thanks

Runtime 500 issues

It works fine though Firefox but not IE.

Pcs are blocking to many times when clients are in the internet (most of the times), dont understand why, no virus and no spywares. and when i enter with admin, errors appears many time in the desktop and its always problems with temp files, how can i stop with all this blockings?? Ty
