Ooh here's one O haven't seen before.
Nprotect is a Game Content Protection app the runs with games like
Mabinogi and Shaiya to protect the content from cheating & Hacking :)
the error is odd because it has never happened before.

Customers No Longer Informed if Already Logged In

Bug Description:
When a user attempted to log into a computer while already logged into another, the SL Client used to return a message informing the customer that they were already logged in. This message no longer appears. In fact, customers are given no indication that anything has been processed if they attempt to log in a second time, their username and password fields remain filled in, no message of any kind appears, and nothing happens to their account that is currently logged in.

Reporting Problem through email

I am using Smartlaunch over a year and all of the reports through my email is good and exact, but after the update the administrator and the server dont tally with their daily sales. Because I configured smartlaunch to email me every 24 hours, so after that update 4.3.5 it doesnt tally anymore. I didn't change any configuration or what but after the update this problem happened, are there any solutions for this? please help reply

Price Problem

this needs 2 lines but it makes that the one below it have the price 0,00 and 6,00 and makes a 60,00 out of it.

Hello

I'm facing a problem using Smartlaunch. When I create a new user (no matter what membership), the password is set automatically somehow and the user cannot log in. It keep saying "wrong password" although the user is still new with no information.

Can anyone help?

Google Chrome Support

I've tried everything to try and get Google Chrome to work. It works if you go into Admin mode and the link is verified to work, but within the Smartlaunch Client, it will open but no page will load, including the Options page.

Though irrelevant, I'm using Windows 7 x64 for all systems and the current release of SL

My clients doesn't display remaining user time warning on some games.... :S For example Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne....
This game didn't appear at first in SL admin monitoring proccess, but I found solution here

Bug Description
Today I just received this error, the client did not display all the games/programs I have listed in the Server. Some games/programs is just missing. I have tried to replace the database with the older one that's working, but the client still do not display all the games.

Change Password for Customer aint working

some of my customer want to change their password so i go to their account ans set ask password on next login the weird thing is if they type their user name and log in theres no password box that comes out to change their password and automatically logs them in now all those account can login without putting any password so they are scared about their accounts cus we cant put any password now with the user name u can log in without pass and even u type a wrong password it logs them in Hope SL can help me solve this problem thanks and more power.............

Hello,

I am currently opening a new LAN center in Southern California and unfortunately I'm in a situation where I must utilize windows 7 instead of XP which I'd much prefer.

So I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit and it works well for the most part, games boot quickly, proceed from A to B with ease and looks/sounds great at all menu screens.

However when a user attempts to boot a game and gets impatient as they do and then clicks the same game again or another game whilst incapable of waiting the 20 seconds needed to boot say Team Fortress 2 for example. The PC will sometimes lock up from the client side only rendering the client/player/customer useless.

To define lock up: The Smartlaunch skin will function to a degree, you can move the mouse through some menus and scroll through the options whilst hearing the 'ping' sound of each option skipped over by the mouse however you can not click any buttons, applications or programs and you cannot log out.

This in turn forces the user to come approach the front desk and ask for me to manually "log out" the user from the front desk.

If a player plays game A and then closes said game and boots Game B followed by game C, D, etc whilst patiently waiting for each game to close/open individually the PC will never lock but when people start getting click crazy and boot 19 copies of MW:2 the smartlaunch screen will just lock up.

I've tied this down to Smartlaunch/Windows 7 compatibility but I could be wrong.

Any/All suggestions are hugely helpful. Thank you!

Just restarted the server and it prompted me with and update for the server and client, i accepted and went forth, it updated and to my surprise All but two applications were gone from all client stations.

I am looking for the quickest fix possible

The cafe is down and running manual which is not safe nor convenient.

Have submitted a urgent ticket, but still waiting for any reply.

Feel free to jump in if you have a couple pennies to throw at me.

Printer Bug

I noticed a bug after last patch, the version of my client server is 4.1.362
it seems that Client Server always choose the first printer in the list and not the default printer (we've got 3) in panel configuration. We tried to assign our default printer but server don't care.
I've found just one solution, for add printer that i want, rename them all for have the good one.

Bad Company 2 crash after the intro video

i have found a serious problem bout this stupid thing (DisableClient.exe)

once aft customer log in smartlaunch using any account, they jus need to go browser and key this keyword (c:\Program Files\Smartlaunch\Client\DisableClient.exe),aft tat it ll be executing the stupid file!!!!and enjoy the free admin com!!!!

so wat can i do???is it jus go to each computer delete the stupid file???

anyone got experience???pls dun mind to share it out!!!!

I cannot create new users without it crashing the creation window and then not being able to open the account without a restart of the admin.

1. Create a user account any which way you like.
2. Then I click create user.
3. It waits greyed out for a while and then a Problem occured error pops up.
4. User is made but I have to restart the admin to view the account.

MySQL Error on CI FS (Usergroups)

The table Usergroups (which should be UserGroups) report an error when I'm using the mail report test function. I am using SL with MySQL support on a case sensitive file system (ufs/bsd), and you call the same table with different typo (Usergroups & UserGroups).

Can you fix the SQL request ?

MySQL is casesens. Some tables like: Emails - EMAILS and Usergroups - UserGroups presents problems because are different by the casesens...

To solve this i create new copy tables from the mention up(the second ones are the copies)

Shift report wastes a page by printing stock control headings and no data

Bug Description
The shift report prints the report logo and header row for the stock control page and nothing more. While sometimes it prints the sheet including products other times headers is all we get. Either way we need a way to disable printing of the second page since we neither need it nor want it and its wasting trees.

Additionally, the second time you print a shift report (from the shift report browser) if you view the report then print it from the view screen you get only the second page. Printing the report from the shift report browser screen prints normally.

Furthermore, the value in registered total is wrong when reprinting. The database should store the registered total or the report should be made to recalculate it when reprinting rather than trying to make it up based on subtotal and difference values.

All fairly self explanatory really, if you need more info then ask.

guys i found this bug...its that u have to press 3 buttons at the sametime on the keyboard and then u can easily access a customer's account which is sorted as the first account in the SL Administrator...I don't really know what exactly those 3 buttons are but it would be better if u keep an empty account @ the top order...

If u dont get this then forget it..coz I'm unable to explain this clearly :( sorry for bad english:D

negative balance after customer prints

this started couple of weeks ago, when customer prints using monitored printer, money gets widrawn from their account but remaining time is unchanged. Just right now, one of the customer purchased $3 (which is 1 hour for our store), used the computer for 30 minutes, printed 2 pages ($0.25 per page, total $0.50), the account has $1 remaining balace (which shows on the the client) but remaining time is still at 30 mintues. The remaining time should be at 20 minutes, not 30 minutes, and I noticed other accounts has negative balance but still has remaining time on them. So when user gets logged out when their time runs out, the remaining balace goes negative.

Someone please help me~

Screen shots not working right.

When I click on a computer and choose the utilities option and choose get screen shot it loads a small image. In the past I could click this image and have it come up full screen so I could tell if they were somewhere they shouldnt be. Now how ever I get the error no screen shot saved for this computer.

Client is lagging, and eventually hangs itself

Hi,

My client (which is on a good pc, 3.2ghz / 1gb ram for example) is really lagging. When you use the drop-down menu it lags and looks as if it's like 2-3 frames per second. Usually i can select a game and then start it, and the game itself runs perfectly fine, but as soon as i go back to the client it's laggy again. Sometimes the client also hangs itself, i can use the mouse and everything but nothing happens. From the administrator program the client is disconnected for about 10 secs, then looks like it's on for 1 maybe 2 seconds, then off for 10 .. rinse & repeat.

Anyone got an idea what might cause this? I'm new to SL but if im correct the menu is done in flash? So an obvious question would be if all flash objects (as in webpages) lags like this but no its not. It's just this. I've done an uninstall and tried to install it again, same thing. I got other clients in the network that works perfectly fine, it's just this one that doesnt.

So if you have any idea or such, please let me know. As it its now i cant use the client actively cause its too frustrating for people to use it and they loose time.

Customer Problem

I already set the countdown timer if the customer has 10 minutes left, smartlaunch will pop up a timer with a 10 minute countdown, my problem is that it doesnt show if its in game. Example if they are playing warcraft it doesnt show in the upper left unless you alt tab is there a way to let me set that any program that is open it will show up in the game. please reply asap.

SL4.1.351 - Skins folder address changed

Hi,

This issue just happened. When I click the settings window that manages the clients skins, an error window pops up saying:

... which I tried to translate the best I can.

"Smartlaunch could not initialize settings window. The following error occured:

System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Impossible to locate part of path 'C:\Documents and Settings\MyWindowsAccountName\Desktop\Data\Files\Skins'."

... followed by a lists of C++ function names.

By changing the skins folders to this location resolves the problem. I would like to know how this issue might be resolved as I did not change any settings pertaining to locations and the Desktop is a poor place to keep this data.

Users stay logged in after time runs out

Hello kamal from pong here , in the last 3-4 weeks i have found that sometimes users stay logged in after there time runs out
this problem seems to be getting more and more frequent .
I recive no error messages nor can i switch , change or login a user after this has happened although i can still switch off and restart pcs from administrator.
when the user runs out of time it looks like the pc is ready to be used ,as in it turns greeen in administrator and says ready beside it.i have uploaded an image to show in more detail

i am currently using 23 pcs with windows xp pro ,running driveshield as protection .

Error occurd while initialzing the smartlaunch client

The evening before this crash i downloaded a few pdf files and pressed the disablecleint.exe,

I am getting this error while the client tries to load the shell (if i press OK at the error i get a black screen with only my mouse)

The only fix that worked for me the last time i got this is to reinstall the OS.
