QUESITON 1:

When the PUF Directory is set, it is only set on the server, so I'm confused about how the PUFs are actually transferred to the client.

Are the puffs transfered via Windows File Sharing, thus using one of the 10 SMB Windows Sharing connections?

Are they transferred over the 7831 port?

Are they transferred via TFTP?

I'm confused about whether I even need to move the PUFs to an external samba server.

If the files are transferred via TFTP or similar method, the PUFS should not count toward the connection limit. Do only douments/images/cd key conecitons count against the limit?

QUESTION 2:

When file mapping is activated (for My Documents, etc.), SL automatically maps u: to the server on the client.

But which share does it connect to? That is, it only asks for a servername, username, and password, but there is no place to indicate a share name; you are only told "to be sure the user has access to the users directory."

Are you supposed to create a \\server\users share, and if so, which directory is the share supposed to point to?

Is it mapped via the administrator \\server\c$ share?

Thanks.

The files are sent over the same socket as the rest of the client<->server communication.

Yes.

But which share does it connect to?

The smartlaunch server automatically creates a folder and shares it as SL_[USERNAME]$
The folder is created in: C:\Program Files\Smartlaunch\Server\Data\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents
