| | Hi Had few customers today playing Runescape.. They Login downloaded Java and played for 1 or 2 hours When they've finished, they logged out and clicked the 'x' buttom of the Internet explorer (top right corner) Then a error message box pops-up stating : Application Error General Exception Name: Runescape java.lang.NullPointerException: null pData I know I need to contact Java itself. But just wondering if anyone had similar problem . Thanks |

| We have allowed a few people that play Runescape on our PCs.
but I haven't noticed any problems like the one you described.... yet
What version of Java are you using?
Did they full log out of the game before they Closed the web Browser?.... Nevermind this one
What Web Browser were they using, or What Web Browser do you allow the use of?

| | Thanks for your reply, I've checked with the Java website and that our current version is the latest. We've installed Internet Explorer 8 Beta ver. It is because IE is beta ver? Dont know exactly whats causing it but the support page of Java website has stated similar problems and saying that they are working on it at the moment. Guess I have to wait... |

| With Beta Software, its usually stable enough, or at least the features added for that version of the software to be released are
set... But there will usually always be Bugs in beta(s), that why there is Beta Testing to identify bugs and fix them before a general release to the public.
try using Firefox
