2 quick questions about SL4

How do I subtract time from a user's account?

How do i retreive/ change a user's account password if he/ she forgets it?

And answer to those 2 questions would be greatly appreciated.

1.) It depends on how you added the time. If you added it as an offer, you have to right-click on the offer and delete and then add back the difference. If you added it as free time (time with a custom price of zero), its the same thing. If you added it as standard time or money, then you can withdraw money to remove time. Just open the user status for the user in question and click Active Session -> Withdraw Money.

2.) You don't. What you need to do is open the user status window for the forgetful user and click Account -> At next login... -> Ask for password. Then log them in manually by right-clicking a computer and selecting Login user and typing in the user name of the forgetter. Then it will pop up a password dialog on the client machine.

Thank you.  It would be great if there were a way to subtract minutes just by the click of a button!  We ran Antamedia before and it was pretty simple to subtract time.

Again, thanks!

And one more thing to ask... What about the time or moneys left after client leaves ? I have to withdraw them making my Cashier to be counted incorrectly... Or if I want to penalize the user for ST i have no choice...
Would it be any chance to add some choice to cancel the withdrawing telling SL, that the moneys was left in Cashier ?

And I still do not know how to add just a free time to the user without changing to custom price or setting him as another group.. Is it possible in any way ?

Best regards...

Hey Ace just a couple of questions if you don't mind.

1. Why would you want to remove time/money from that account after they leave?  For example if its a quest account you can set it to go into credit which allows them to play in the red and once they have finished come to the front desk and pay for what they have used or if you are using pre-paid tickets you can just leave the remaining time on the account and tell the customer they can use the rest next time they come back if they retain the ticket with their username and password on it.

2. With adding 'free time' to customers account you can make a package called 'free time' or 'bonus time' and have a set amount of minutes in it and have the cost as $0... but I must say it is very easy to just click on 'add time' then click the ammount of time you want to add then check the custom price box and type $0 into the price and then pay.

----Haven't worked out how to subtract time from an account only money and if you delete a package then some weird things can and have happened.  I think it would be easier to have the customer in a specific group and only add money to his/her account.  That way SL will automaticaly work out the hourly rate depending on your setting of that group and if needed you can just 'withdraw' the money out.

I was under the impression that you could not remove any package you added that you had set/custom priced to $0 as it still left the time in the account.  I might be wrong, will check out at work tomorrow.

We ran Antamedia before

Did you have any problems with it?  We had it on our server for our BYOC side but it kept crashing all the time and needed restarting, but when it was working it was good.

My opinions or answers mightn't be right and I don't mind you pointing it out if they are
