| Are they actually displayed at game launch, or in the game in multiplayer options?

| Someone over at the iGames forums had a good suggestion... changing the key in the .ini file to "THIS CD KEY HAS BEEN HIDDEN" or something like that. People will only be able to play single player, but that should hold them over until a patch is released that hides the key (hopefully soon).

Let me know as soon as you have a better solution (before a patch fixes it).

| Has anyone thought of the possibility that the CD Key has been made visible on purpose? It may be a deterrant to stop Gaming Centres like ours from using their software the way that we do. If you think about it, it does make sense, because with most licensing related issues the Publisher loses out. This may be the case, or it may not.

| Thats not true. We pay for all our licences and run the games legit allbeit without a cd drive. It would seem we are all branded pirates because we offer access to games by hire not purchase. We actually encourage purchases by organizing tournaments and the like previewing upcoming titles etc. Its time the manufacturers recognized us (as some have ie. steam). By making us work it out ourselves they are promoting hacking etc. I wonder how long it would take for most people to forget their techniques if we didnt have to use them. Anyway suffice to say we all have a substantial financial interest in these businesses and we should be recognized as a legitimate business group rather than the percieved bunch of garage hackers it seems we are labelled by some. |

Please try unzipping this file (iw_15.iwd) and putting it in the Call of Duty 2\main directory. It should hide the "Enter CD Key" menu option.
Let me know if it works, or if you have problems with it.
